This well equipped, modern house is located in the popular, peaceful village of Bigton, on the west side of the South Mainland of Shetland. It is ideally located for exploring the local area and further afield. The house is just a five minute walk to St Ninian's Isle beach and has beautiful views of the sea and St Ninian's Isle.

Sheepfold was built in 2014 and is equipped and furnished to a high standard. It sleeps up to four people, in one double and two single bedrooms. It has under-floor heating; fitted kitchen; separate, cosy lounge with wood-burning stove (fuel provided), utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and free wifi. All bedding and towels included.
Outside, the house is surrounded by its own garden with parking. There is a paved area, accessed by patio doors, where you can relax after a busy day and watch the sun set over the sea.
Sheepfold is centrally located in the popular village of Bigton and is just a five minute walk to the famous St Ninian's Isle, which is connected to the mainland by the largest active sand tombolo in the UK. The Isle itself has a rich history, most famously being the site of the discovery of a hoard of pictish treasure by a local schoolboy in 1958.
The house has lovely views of the sea and the Isle.
Bigton is on the west side of the South Mainland of Shetland, 18 miles from Lerwick and 9 miles from Sumburgh airport. The village has a community-owned shop, village hall and children's playpark. There is a bus service to Sumburgh and Lerwick, which stops outside the shop.
The South Mainland itself has a wide selection of places to visit, to suit all tastes. From beautiful sandy beaches, to the cliffs of Sumburgh head with their colonies of nesting seabirds, particularly the well-known puffins. Killer whales are often seen around the coast. The two impressive archaeological sites of Jarlshof and Scatness are also well worth a visit, as is the visitor centre at Sumburgh lighthouse. For when the weather is not so good, there are several welcoming local shops and cafes.
