Check-in times
Check in opens at 12noon. If arriving early, luggage can be left until check in opens.
Early booking is essential during major festivals – Up Helly Aa (last Tuesday in January), Shetland Folk Festival (end April/beg May); and Shetland Accordion & Fiddle Festival (second week of October).

Directions
From airport:
Islesburgh House Hostel is located in the centre of Lerwick, on the main bus route from Sumburgh airport (app. 25 miles). From the airport follow the main road to Lerwick, go straight through two roundabouts and King Harald Street is the 5th junction on your left; the Hostel is on the left hand side opposite the public parks (adjacent to Islesburgh Community Centre).
From ferry:
If you are arriving by ferry the Hostel is no more than a 10/15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Turn left when leaving the terminal and follow the road to King Harald Street, passing through two mini-roundabouts on the way. Turn right up King Harald Street and you'll find us on the right hand side, opposite the public parks.
