How to use this site to find accommodation
1: Search
Search and browse the listings to find accommodation suited to your needs.
2: Shortlist
Add suitable properties to your 'Shortlist' by clicking the button at the bottom of the listing.
3: Enquire
Once you have finished adding properties to your shortlist, click the 'Start your enquiry' button at the bottom of the page.
4: Send
Add details about your requirements and press 'Send enquiry'. You will receive an email confirmation containing a link to follow to check for responses from property owners.
5: Select
You will receive an email notification each time a property owner responds to your enquiry. Contact your preferred provider to book directly.
Please note:
- This website does NOT offer an online accommodation booking service. The 'contact' and 'enquire' functionality is intended to help visitors find out about the availability of Shetland accommodation properties. Visitors should contact accommodation providers directly to make bookings.
Information for Property Owners
- Owners of holiday accommodation in Shetland can list properties on stay.shetland.org free of charge, subject to agreeing to the terms and conditions. Note, that we reserve the right to charge for listings in future, though we would only do so after providing notice.
- Property owners wishing to be listed on this site should visit the Add Your Listing page.
- Please include a valid email address in your property listing details. This will allow users to add your property to their shortlist.
- Properties listed are licensed, if applicable, under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Licensing of Short-term Lets) Order 2022. (Licence numbers ending with the letter 'F' have been granted; numbers ending with 'P' are pending.)
